Bees have been around for millions of years, they were fully developed in their present form long before modern mammals had evolved. The way we see it, bees have been producing honey for longer than humans have existed, so how could we make it any better by adding anything to it?

Honey does not deteriorate like most foods and it keeps almost indefinitely in its natural form. It has been used for well over 5000 years as a natural remedy because of it's well known medicinal and healing properties. Research has shown that honey has bactericidal properties that can be used to treat digestive problems such as peptic ulcers as well as external lesions. As a natural, unprocessed and easily digested food, honey can be regarded as an important part of your daily dietary intake.

As it is 25% sweeter than sugar, less can be used, which reduces the calories count and thus leads to a healthier, more balanced diet. As honey is hygroscopic, it is excellent for baking cakes, as it keeps them moister longer. (it is also used to keep foods fresh and moist longer by retarding spoilage)
